Our Clay in Nature holiday programme run in collaboration with ceremics tutor Lily German.
The workshops involve creating ceramic works of art inspired by nature. Participants learn clay building techniques within the natural setting of the Ringway Woodlan Gardens, using nature as their source of inspiration. Half the session is dedicated to learning about a particular nature topic, while in the second half, the children apply their learning and get to be creative with clay.
All sessions are held outside. If it is raining, we will be under the camp canopy. Each session focuses on a nature theme by exploring the great outdoors. The aim of these Ranger Missions is to discover all the wonders of nature to inspire ceramic works of art.
Please note, some sessions are family days, where children of any age can join. We recommend that they are at least a year old however, or if younger, can join if other siblings are attending. Adults can guide the younger children in the way they know them best.
The other sessions are children only and we recommend they are aged 6/7 upwards.
