Join us on Thursdays from September 11th till 23rd October for some gardening and nature fun!
The after-school club runs from 3.30 till 5pm during the term.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Each week we explore different topics through adventure learning.
Learning is reinforced through fun outdoor games, exploring nature, gardening (sowing, planting, and tasting), story telling and arts and crafts, as well as free play.
The children get to taste what they have grown, or take home what they have created or planted during the session.
The aim of the sessions is to connect children to nature in fun, inclusive and inspiring ways, helping to create life-long positive habits. Research shows that time spent in nature supports healthy cognitive development and encourages curiosity, creativity, and care for the environment. With every session, children grow not only in knowledge, but also in confidence, imagination, and a love for the world around them.
WHAT TO BRING:
All sessions will be outside during this period.
We may get a little messy. Children can bring spare tops to change into.
Please ensure the children are appropriately dressed for the weather. Please bring wellies and coats if wet and cold and sun hats, sun cream if hot and sunny.
In the event of heavy rain, we will be sheltering inside the polytunnel in the garden.
Please also ensure the children have a water bottle. We provide a light fruit/veg or biscuit snack, but they can bring extra personal snacks if needed. These will be eaten at the very start of the session.
COST INCLUDES:
The cost covers the term of 7 sessions up to the October half term.
A light snack (fruit, veg or biscuits).
All materials children use and/or take home with them.
BOOKING:
To book, please complete booking form. We will then confirm and send a payment link.
AGE:
The sessions are appropriate for children from 5 to 11 years old.
