Big thank you to Barry O’Donovan for joining us for story telling around Camp Nesbit at the end.
This spring, we took part in Plant and Share month, getting together to sow, grow, share plants, and learn about healthy food, thanks to support from Food for Life Get Togethers. We learnt about propagating herbs, different types of tomatoes, tried edible flowers, and grew our own micro-greens. It was yum!

Mini beasts are all around us, but we rarely stop to really look at their beauty! Today we explored the wonderful world of minibeats and the intricate detail of their design and form, and the amazing work they do for us each day to keep our world healthy.
A macro photography exhibition of mini beasts found in our local woodland was up at the Eco Lab, and children also got to explore the mini beasts of the pond through microscopes.
What a summer! We’ve had so much fun working with ‘Clay at the Ringway’ project‘ delivering 5 brilliant nature and art workshops. We explored our grasslands and and learnt about creepy crawlies and got creative making ceramic plates, pots and sculptures.
We went treasure hunting and orienteering, learning all about Edith Nesbit’s Book of Dragons and everyone joined in to make brilliant ceramic dragons!
A huge thank you also to Willow Wildlife Hedgehog Rescue for joining us. The children learnt all about hedgehogs and the great work they do rescuing injured hedgehogs.
