30th July – Mud and Creepy Crawlies

In this session we discover where clay comes from and how it forms mud to support millions of creepy crawlies. We look at fossilised clay mud balls and investigate all the weird & wonderful mini-beasts found in our woodland – all which come in different shapes and sizes.

Through clay techniques such as pinching and coiling we will then create our own mini-beast sculpture to take home, inspired by all the creepy crawlies we find.

Please note, this session is for kids only. We recommend ages 7 years upwards, however 6 year olds can attend if they are generally happy staying and doing structured activities without parents. There are general nature-based activities, including working with clay that children of all ages can be involved in, interpreting them in their own way.

To book, plese download the booking form from the What we Do page and return by email to hello@wildrangers.org.uk. Terms and conditions and other background information is found on our FAQ pages. Alternatively,
