3rd July – Family Day – Treasure Hunt

Join a family fun day. We will set off from Camp Nesbit and follow the treasure trail to Grove Park Nature Reserve and the Railway Children Embankments. We will hunt for natural treasures in the different habitats on the way. We return to camp and learn how to make nature imprinted clay pinch pots and clay seed bombs.  This sensory exploration of natural materials is a great way to get children discovering textures in nature which can then inspire creative works with clay. The aim is to get kids moving, touching, listening, noticing, and interacting with the outdoors in a totally different way, encouraging them to use and develop their observation skills. Scavenger hunts are great at helping children pay more attention and awareness to their surroundings and the environment.

Please note, there are no age restrictions for family days. There are general activities, including working with clay that children of all ages can be involved in, interpreting them in their own way. Younger children will be led by parents in the way they know them best.

To book, plese download the booking form from the What we Do page. Terms and conditions and other background information is found on our FAQ pages.
